The short answer
Uluwatu does nightlife, just not the Canggu way. There is no strip to wander, so you pick one venue per night and go. Our picks: Single Fin on a Sunday or Wednesday, Savaya when a big DJ is booked, Club Corazón for a proper dark dancefloor, Tabu on a Friday, and Hatch as the late bar that keeps going after everything else closes. Sort your ride home before you leave, because app pickups on the Bukit are limited and thin out after midnight.
Who this is not for. If you want to bar hop on foot until sunrise, you will be happier in Canggu. Uluwatu nights are planned, not stumbled into. Looking for daytime pools and sunset sessions instead? That is our Uluwatu beach clubs guide.
Quick answer
- Best Sunday night: Single Fin, Sunday Session until around 2am
- Best big DJ night: Savaya, ticketed events, 21+
- Best proper club: Club Corazón, house and techno on Jalan Labuansait
- Best Friday: Tabu Fridays, dinner that turns into a party
- Best late bar: Hatch, open until around 2am or later
- Getting home: book your return ride before you go out, app pickups are limited

Is Uluwatu nightlife like Canggu?
Honestly, no. Canggu is still the easier place for a night out in Bali: more bars, closer together, and you can walk between a lot of them. Uluwatu has no real centre or main strip. Venues are spread across the cliffs and back roads of the Bukit, so a pub crawl does not work here.
What Uluwatu has instead is a handful of venues that each do one thing well, plus the best sunsets in the south. The pattern most people settle into: sunset at a clifftop spot, dinner, then one late venue. Weighing up the two areas for your whole trip? Read our Uluwatu vs Canggu comparison.
The best bars and clubs, one by one
Single Fin | the Sunday night institution
Single Fin sits on the cliff above Suluban Beach and has been the Bukit's default night out for years. Live music and DJs run most nights, but the two that matter are Wednesday and the Sunday Session, when it stays open until around 2am.
Who it suits: anyone who wants a loud, sociable, surf town night without a ticket. It draws a younger crowd, so if that is not you, go for sunset and leave before the late rush. Prices are bar prices, not club prices.
Savaya | the big ticketed night
A clifftop day to night club in Pecatu, about 100 metres above the ocean. DJs play through the afternoon and sunset, with the headliner later. It is only worth it when there is an event on that you actually want to see.
Tickets are sold through the official Megatix channel. Recent general admission ran from around IDR 700,000 to IDR 1,700,000 for a headline DJ, and big nights sell out. Entry is 21+ with photo ID, the dress code is smart casual (no singlets or sportswear) and bags are searched. The caveat: it is a big spend, and it is the opposite of spontaneous. We cover the daytime side in our beach clubs guide.
Club Corazón | the only proper dark dancefloor
Opened in late 2024 on Jalan Labuansait, Corazón is a 1,000 capacity club over two floors with a serious sound system, a retractable roof and an upstairs VIP balcony. The launch line-up leaned house and techno, and its weekly nights also include Latin and urban parties, including a Wednesday night with doors at 11pm.
Who it suits: people who actually want to dance in a club, not on a terrace. Recent guides put the cover at around IDR 150,000 on most nights, but ticketed nights go through Megatix, so check current prices. The caveat: it starts late, so plan a nap.
Tabu | Friday dinner that becomes a party
Tabu is a supper club on Jalan Labuansait. On Tabu Fridays, dinner reservations start at 6pm and the party starts at 7pm with guest DJs, and admission is 21+. It works well for a group that wants to eat and go out in one place.
The caveat: it is a dinner first venue, so it is less fun if you turn up at midnight expecting a club from the start.
Hatch | the late bar
Hatch on Jalan Labuansait is where the night goes when everywhere else closes. Listings put closing time at around 2am to 3am. Weekly nights include a Tuesday games night and a Saturday salsa night with a live band and DJ.
Who it suits: the last stop. It is casual, unpretentious and close to the Padang Padang end of the Bukit. The caveat: listed hours differ between sources, so check before you head over late.
The Bench Brewery | the Saturday beer garden
A craft beer spot on Jalan Labuansait, open from midday until late. Saturday Sessions bring live music followed by a DJ, with two for one pints in the late afternoon.
Who it suits: groups, sports fans (there are screens) and anyone who wants a relaxed start before a later venue. Not a club, and that is the point.
Rolling Fork | Tuesday salsa
An Italian restaurant on Jalan Labuansait that clears space after dinner on Tuesdays for a Latin night with salsa and bachata. Great midweek if you dance, or want to learn. Skip it if you are after electronic music.
The Cashew Tree | Thursday live music in Bingin
A café and hangout on Jalan Pantai Bingin that stays open later on Thursdays for live local acts and DJs, roughly 6pm to midnight. It is the easiest night out if you are staying in Bingin, and the most low key on this list. For dinner nearby first, see our Uluwatu restaurants guide.
Which night is big where?
These are the regular weekly nights that more than one recent listing or guide confirms. Line-ups and guest DJs change, so check each venue's Instagram on the day.
| Night | Where | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Tuesday | Rolling Fork, Hatch | Salsa and bachata; games night |
| Wednesday | Single Fin, Club Corazón | Late night at Single Fin; club night with doors at 11pm |
| Thursday | The Cashew Tree | Live local music and DJs until around midnight |
| Friday | Tabu, Savaya | Tabu Fridays from 7pm; big ticketed DJ nights |
| Saturday | The Bench Brewery, Hatch, Savaya | Live band then DJ; salsa night; big DJ nights |
| Sunday | Single Fin | The Sunday Session, until around 2am |
Hours and prices move. Treat these as a guide and confirm with the venue before you go.

How do you get home safely?
This is the part most visitors get wrong. Grab and Gojek are legal for tourists in Bali, but local transport groups restrict app pickups in parts of the Bukit, including around Bingin, Padang Padang and Ungasan. You can usually get dropped off, then struggle to get picked up. Drivers may ask you to walk out to the main road, and some spots have signs saying online transport is not allowed.
It gets harder late. Pickup availability drops after midnight, especially near the cliff bars, and some local taxis charge much higher night rates. Our full breakdown is in Grab vs Gojek in Bali.
- Best option: book a driver for the night, or at least for the return. See what that costs in our private driver cost guide.
- Next best: ask venue staff to call a trusted taxi before you leave, and agree the price first.
- Using the apps: walk out to the main road before you book, and do not leave it until 2am.
- Do not ride a scooter after drinking. The Bukit's back roads are dark, steep and uneven. Our scooter rental guide covers the rules.
Cabo tip: Agree your ride home before you leave the villa, not at the club. Save the driver's WhatsApp, share a pin of the venue, and set a pickup time you can push later with a message. If you are staying with us, ask the team to line up a driver when you plan your night.
Key takeaways
- Uluwatu is not Canggu: no strip, no pub crawl, pick one or two venues a night.
- Sunday and Wednesday are Single Fin nights; Friday is Tabu and Savaya; Saturday is The Bench Brewery and Hatch.
- For a real club, go to Club Corazón; for a big name DJ, go to Savaya and book tickets early.
- Hatch is the late bar when everywhere else has closed.
- Sort the ride home first. App pickups on the Bukit are limited and thin out after midnight.
Frequently asked questions
Are there nightclubs in Uluwatu?
Yes, a few. Club Corazón on Jalan Labuansait is a 1,000 capacity club with a house and techno focus, Savaya runs ticketed DJ nights on the cliffs in Pecatu, and Hatch is the late bar that keeps going until around 2am or later. Tabu turns its Friday dinner into a party. Beyond those, most nights out are bars with a DJ or a band.
What is the best night to go out in Uluwatu?
Sunday is the classic: the Single Fin Sunday Session runs until around 2am. Wednesday is the second Single Fin night, Friday is Tabu Fridays and a big Savaya night, and Saturday means live music at The Bench Brewery and salsa at Hatch. Check each venue's Instagram on the day, because line-ups change week to week.
Is Uluwatu nightlife as good as Canggu?
No, and that is fine. Canggu has more bars close together and is far more walkable. Uluwatu venues are spread across the Bukit with no main strip, so you pick one or two places a night rather than bar hopping. What Uluwatu does better is the sunset into evening on the cliffs.
Can I get a Grab or Gojek home from a club in Uluwatu?
Sometimes, but do not count on it. Local transport groups restrict app pickups in parts of the Bukit, drivers may ask you to walk to the main road, and availability drops after midnight. The reliable option is a driver booked for the return trip, or a taxi the venue staff arrange for you.
How much does it cost to get into Savaya?
It depends on the night. Tickets are sold through Savaya's official Megatix channel and recent general admission prices have ranged from around IDR 700,000 to IDR 1,700,000 for headline DJs. Entry is 21+ with photo ID and the dress code is smart casual, so check savaya.com before you go.
Where should I stay in Uluwatu for nightlife?
Stay near Jalan Labuansait in the Padang Padang and Pecatu stretch, or in Bingin, which is a short drive away. That puts Single Fin, Hatch, Club Corazón, Tabu and The Bench Brewery within a few minutes, which keeps the ride home short.

Long story short
Come to Uluwatu for the sunsets and a few very good nights, not for wall to wall partying. Do Single Fin on a Sunday, catch Savaya only when a DJ you love is booked, and go to Club Corazón if you want a proper dancefloor. Tabu is the Friday pick for a group that wants dinner and a party in one place, and Hatch is your last stop. Skip trying to bar hop on foot. Above all, book your ride home before you go out.
