Look elsewhere if you want an ocean view, a third bedroom, or the raw architectural drama of Kona and Muda — Las Mimosas is deliberately the opposite of those.

Who Las Mimosas is for — and who it's not
Choose Las Mimosas if you read villa listings for the materials rather than the square metres. This is a villa of surfaces: plaster you want to run a hand along, stone underfoot, oak and linen and woven fibre. It suits people who want to come back from Uluwatu's noise to something that lowers their heart rate — and it suits a slow morning far better than it suits a party.
Not ideal if you need three or more bedrooms, or an ocean view. Las Mimosas has neither, and we'd rather tell you now than have you arrive expecting a clifftop. It's also the wrong pick if you're chasing the brutalist look that Kona and Muda do properly — the two aesthetics have almost nothing in common, and guests who want one usually dislike the other.
Room by room
The garden and pool — the reason to book
Full-height glass doors on the ground floor fold back onto a planted garden with a swimming pool, timber deck and loungers under the palms. Most Bukit villas at this price give you a plunge pool in a walled box. This one gives you greenery on all sides, which changes how the whole villa feels once the doors are open. Verdict: the best thing here, and the thing photos undersell.
The sunken living area — the one people photograph
Oversized linen seating dropped below floor level, next to a dining space framed by a sculptural slatted screen and fringed pendants. It's the room that makes the villa look expensive. Verdict: excellent for four people and a long dinner; less practical if you want everyone facing a screen.
The kitchen — natural oak, stone counters
Fully equipped, finished in oak with stone countertops so it reads as furniture rather than a service area. Enough for real cooking, not just coffee. Verdict: good. Ask us to stock it before you land and it earns its keep.
The two bedrooms — both king, both upstairs
Two king rooms with large timber-framed windows looking straight into greenery, dressed in soft linens, earth-tone throws and woven bedside lighting. Both are equal enough that nobody argues over which one they get. Verdict: a genuine two-couple villa — but two, not three.
The entrance — the carved timber door
A small thing that sets the tone: you arrive through a carved timber door rather than a gate and a car port. It's the first signal that this villa is trying to be calm. Verdict: detail work of the kind that usually costs a lot more per night.
The neighbourhood: Pecatu, Bingin side
Las Mimosas sits in Pecatu, on the Bingin and Padang Padang side of the Bukit rather than out on the clifftop resort strip. That distinction matters more than the village name: guests report walking to restaurants and reaching Padang Padang Beach in a few minutes on a scooter, and one described the villa simply as a hideaway in Bingin. So you get the quiet of a residential lane without the twenty-minute drive to dinner that the more remote Bukit villas come with.
