Little Asia Review (2026): An Honest Take + Bingin Area Guide

Little Asia Review (2026): An Honest Take + Bingin Area Guide

Where this review comes from: an honest summary of guest feedback from across Airbnb, Booking.com, Reddit, and our own direct bookings.

TL;DR — Should you stay at Little Asia?

Little Asia is a 2-bedroom garden villa in Bingin, on the Bukit, built almost entirely from teak wood with woven ceilings, terracotta textures, and a tropical garden that's genuinely rare for the area. It sits on a quiet lane right next to Fleur Café. Stay here if you want character, greenery, and calm over sleek modern finishes — and you're a couple, two couples/friends, a family, or a surfer who'd rather wake up in a real Balinese home than a concrete box. Look elsewhere if a private pool is non-negotiable, or you want resort-style minimalism.

Quick verdict: ★★★★★ — the most characterful "soulful Bali" villa in Bingin, with a garden you won't find next door. Book direct at for up to 10% under OTA rates.

Quick answer: the essentials

  • Where: Bingin, Uluwatu (the Bukit), ~45–60 min from Ngurah Rai airport (DPS)
  • Size: 2 bedrooms (studios), each with a king bed, AC and mosquito nets; both open to the garden
  • Standout: an unusually spacious tropical garden for Bingin + all-teak Balinese design
  • Pool: none — this is a garden villa, not a pool villa (Dreamland Beach is 5–10 min by scooter)
  • Vibe: warm, natural, handcrafted — "soulful homestay" not "minimalist build"
  • Pet-friendly: yes
  • Best for: couples, two couples/friends, families, surfers who want character + quiet

Who Little Asia is for — and who it's not

Choose Little Asia if: you're tired of concrete-and-tile minimalist villas and want somewhere with story and heart — teak ceilings, woven textures, terracotta, and a green garden to actually sit in. It suits couples who want a quiet base near Bingin and Dreamland, two couples or friends who each want their own bedroom plus a shared living space, families wanting somewhere peaceful and well-kept, and surfers who want traditional Balinese comfort close to the breaks without Uluwatu's main-strip noise. Pets are welcome.

Not ideal if: a private pool is essential to your trip (there isn't one), you want sleek modern finishes over rustic character, or you'd be bothered by the occasional gecko or insect — this is a genuinely tropical garden villa, not a sealed concrete box.

The neighbourhood: Bingin & the Bukit

Little Asia sits on a peaceful lane in Bingin central, well back from the beachfront and cliff — with Fleur Café literally next door, one of Bingin's most-loved coffee spots. The Bingin surf break and Dreamland Beach are just 5–10 minutes away by scooter, and Padang Padang and Impossibles are a short ride beyond that. Bingin central is thriving: new cafés, restaurants, gyms, and wellness studios keep arriving, but you're set back from the noise and traffic of Uluwatu's central strip. It's the "village energy" side of the Bukit — close to everything, but quiet where it counts.

One honest note: Uluwatu is a developing area, so occasional construction sounds or utility interruptions can happen, and that's reflected in the pricing. The lane in is a typical Bingin village road — unpaved and uneven in sections, but normal for the area, with scooter parking provided on-site.

How Little Asia compares

  • vs a typical Bingin concrete villa: most builds in the area are concrete and tile; Little Asia is all teak wood, with a warmth and character that's increasingly rare. Character over minimalism → Little Asia.
  • vs a pool villa: Little Asia trades a plunge pool for a genuinely spacious garden and a 5–10 minute scooter to Dreamland Beach. If swimming-at-home matters most, pick a pool villa; if greenery and quiet matter most, this wins.
  • vs Marevita (Pecatu clifftop): Marevita is about panoramic ocean views and a rooftop sunset. Little Asia is about soul, garden, and walkable village life. The window versus the warmth — pick what you came to Bali for.

The Little Asia difference, in one line: in a neighbourhood of concrete-and-tile minimalist builds, Little Asia is the rare Bingin villa made almost entirely of teak wood — woven ceilings, terracotta textures, and a tropical garden spacious enough for yoga, sunbathing, or slow coffee mornings. It's the closest thing to staying in a real Balinese home a short scooter from the surf. — Cabo Bali, 2026

Booking Little Asia: direct vs OTA

Booking direct at is up to 10% cheaper than Airbnb, Booking.com or other platforms for the same villa and dates — no booking fees, plus a personal concierge from the moment you book. Cabo's guest porter helps with transport, restaurant bookings and local tips, and the team can arrange scooter rentals, private drivers and airport pick-up. Platforms charge commissions that often get passed on; book direct and you're speaking with the team that actually manages the villa. WhatsApp them at +62 812 3968 3171 or email hello@cabobali.com.

Pro tip — Keanu Fischell, Co-Founder, Cabo Bali: If a pool is on your must-have list, tell us before you book. Little Asia is a garden villa by design, and that's exactly why people love it — but we manage 20+ villas across the six areas, so if your trip really needs a pool we'll point you to one that fits rather than risk a mismatched stay. Either way you book direct and skip the OTA markup.

FAQ

Who is Little Asia best for? Couples wanting a quiet, beautiful base near Bingin and Dreamland; two couples or friends who each want their own bedroom plus shared living space; families wanting somewhere peaceful and well-kept; and surfers who want traditional Balinese comfort close to the breaks without the noise of Uluwatu's main strip.

Does Little Asia have a pool? No — this is a garden villa, not a pool villa. If a private pool is essential, this may not be the right fit. But if you prefer character, greenery and quiet over a plunge pool, you'll love it. Dreamland Beach is 5–10 minutes away by scooter for a swim.

What makes Little Asia different from other villas in Bingin? Two things: the materials and the garden. Most villas in the area are concrete and tile — Little Asia is built almost entirely from teak wood, which gives it a warmth that's increasingly rare. And the garden is unusually spacious for Bingin, with tropical plants, shaded seating, and room to properly stretch out.

Are pets allowed? Yes — Little Asia is pet-friendly. Bring your furry friend along.

Is Little Asia affected by the Bingin Beach demolitions? Not at all. Little Asia is in Bingin central, well back from the beachfront and cliff. The demolitions targeted structures built directly on the coast without proper permits. Bingin's surf break is unchanged, and Padang Padang, Impossibles and Dreamland are all a short scooter ride away.

How far is Little Asia from the airport? Around 45 minutes to an hour from Ngurah Rai International. A private transfer can be arranged when you book.

Should I book Little Asia direct or through a platform? Direct is the better option — a better rate (up to 10% under OTA), more flexibility, and you're speaking with the team that manages the villa. Platforms charge commissions that often get passed on; book direct and get a person, not a platform.
