Best pizza in Uluwatu for a sit-down dinner
My Dear Clara | the best pizza in Uluwatu
Labuansait, dinner only, from 5pm. The base is thin and worked properly, which almost nothing else here manages, and the kitchen is built to be watched: a pasta station, a cheese room behind glass, and a pizza station set between the tables upstairs. The focaccia arrives before you order it. Also the strongest date night in Uluwatu that happens to serve pizza. Book it, the room is not big. Same owners as KALA, the Greek grill further along Labuansait, and Lola's Cantina Mexicana, so if Clara is full the other two bookings in that group are the ones to make.
La Baracca | the other date spot
Labuansait, 11am to 2am and later at weekends. Been here longer than most of the road, handmade pasta, and a full vegan pizza and pasta menu with vegan cheese at no surcharge. Same owners as the La Baracca in Canggu. Packed after 7pm. Sit upstairs, it is quieter and easier to talk in.
L'Osteria Pizza e Cucina | if you want the full Italian
Labuansait, midday to 11pm. More restaurant than pizzeria: quattro formaggi, carbonara, a limoncello at the end, and a room that feels like a small Italian piazza. The arancini can run dry. Go when you want a whole Italian dinner rather than a pizza.
Best Neapolitan pizza
Artisan Bingin | order the Paloma
Jalan Pantai Bingin, 7am to 11pm, so breakfast through to dinner in one place. Proper Neapolitan style from the oven out the back, and the Paloma with burrata is the order, not the margherita. Live music most evenings and a crowd that settles in. Use it as a long evening rather than a quick feed.
If you are searching for Disco Pizza Palace, it closed in 2026. Same owners as Artisan, so the pizza you liked is still being made, just in Bingin.
Best takeaway and roadside pizza
Uluwatu Street Pizza | the pitstop
Labuansait, from 10am and until 3am on Fridays. You order at the side of the road and watch the dough go straight into the oven. No room, no atmosphere, and none needed, because the quality is well above what a roadside counter should deliver. Order the four cheese. It is usually the most expensive pizza on the board and that is the point: imported cheese carries heavy duty in Indonesia, so anything built on real burrata or a proper four cheese is where the money actually goes. Best pitstop on the road, a strong delivery order, and the late night answer if you are down the Suluban, Thomas Beach or Labuansait end.
Tony's New York Pizza | thick, and enormous
Jalan Raya Uluwatu in Ungasan, 11am to midnight and 1:30am at weekends. The opposite of Clara: a thick New York base, sold in pizzas around fifty centimetres across that feed four or five people, not two. The buffalo pizza, made with Frank's, is the one to get and it is not a thing anywhere else in Uluwatu. Otherwise stick to the classics. Orders by WhatsApp as well as the apps. The late night call if you are on the Ungasan side, the same way Uluwatu Street Pizza is if you are down by the beaches.
Uluwatu restaurants look empty at 6pm and are full at 8pm. Every place here takes a WhatsApp booking and almost nobody uses it.
Late night pizza, by which side of Uluwatu you are on
This is the part most guides get wrong. Uluwatu is not one place, and at midnight the right answer is whichever side of it you are sleeping on.
Suluban, Thomas Beach, Padang Padang and the Labuansait end: Uluwatu Street Pizza, open late and until 3am on Fridays, and better quality than anything else still cooking at that hour.
Ungasan side: Tony's New York Pizza, to midnight and 1:30am from Friday to Sunday. Il Forno, also Ungasan, is open 24 hours and is the only genuine answer at 3am. Roster Pizza runs 6pm to 4am, cooks in front of you and costs very little.
Pizzeria Italia has a site on each side and delivers until 2am, so it covers both. Ride-hailing pickups are restricted on parts of the Bukit, so a kitchen fifteen minutes away by map can be forty by scooter. Pizza with a view, and whether it is worth it
La Terrazza above Suluban has the best outlook of any pizza in Uluwatu, straight out over the surf, and the pizza is decent rather than excellent. The stairs are steep and badly lit after dark. Go for a sunset bruschetta and a drink, then eat properly somewhere else. The same applies to the warungs above Padang Padang: a margherita and a Bintang with an ocean view is a great afternoon and an average dinner.
