Best pizza in Canggu
Pizza Fabbrica | the thin base that has not slipped
Jalan Tanah Barak, 11am to midnight and 2am on Friday and Saturday. Thin, crisp, properly blistered, Italian owned, and the in-house chilli oil is worth asking for. The real argument for it is longevity: Canggu turns restaurants over faster than anywhere on the island and Fabbrica has stayed good through all of it. There is a second site in Umalas if the Canggu one is full, which it will be.
La Baracca | the long dinner
Also Tanah Barak, 11:30am to 2am. Candlelit, small, complimentary bread and limoncello, and gluten free bases and pasta that people with a real intolerance come back for. More of an evening than a meal. Same owners as the La Baracca on Labuansait in Uluwatu, so if you liked one you already know the other.
Fucina | Italian dinner with a band
Jalan Raya Semat, midday to 1am. Pizza, risotto and beef tartare done seriously, with live jazz on Tuesday and Friday. The quattro formaggi and the carbonara are the two orders. Open straight through the afternoon, which very little else here is.
Cantina Bali | the quiet date
Semat, 2pm to midnight. Smaller and calmer than the rest, strong pasta, reliable pizza, and a limoncello at the end. The one to book when you want to be able to hear each other.
Best Neapolitan and wood fired
Luigi's Hot Pizza | the party, with pizza attached
Batu Mejan, 4pm to midnight. Wood oven, Neapolitan style, thin base, and the pork belly is the one people order. Be clear about what it is though: Metto Mondays is a full party every Monday and Luigi's is better known for that than for the food. Go for the night out. Do not book it for a date, and do not go on a Monday expecting a quiet dinner.
Best New York style
Louie's New York Pizza | until 3am
Batu Bolong, 11am to 3am every day. Proper New York slices, hot honey on the table, pepperoni with extra stracciatella is the order, and the buffalo chicken is the other one. Dine in, takeaway or delivery, and the quality does not drop on delivery, which is rare. The best late option in Canggu proper.
Tony's New York Pizza | the inland end
Jalan Raya Tiyingtutul, 11am to midnight and 1:30am from Friday to Sunday. Thick New York base, huge pies built for a group, garlic knots worth adding, and orders by WhatsApp. Not a room to sit in. This is a delivery or takeaway call, and the obvious one if you are up towards Pererenan or Tiyingtutul.
Canggu pizza is heavily discounted on the apps. Both Gojek and Grab run pizza promos most nights, and Gojek Plus includes free delivery inside your local radius, which is worth having if your villa is within a few streets of Batu Bolong or Berawa.
Late night pizza, by where you are staying
Canggu is long and the traffic makes it longer, so order from your own end of it.

Berawa and Semat: Pizza Casa on Tegal Sari is open 24 hours. Fucina runs to 1am and Monsta, on Tanah Barak, to 1am if you want wings with it.

Pererenan, and gluten free
ARTE on Jalan Pantai Pererenan is the pick at that end: proper pizza, ice cream worth staying for rather than the usual afterthought dessert, and the best gluten free pasta and lasagne in the area by a distance, which matters because most kitchens here treat gluten free as a favour. Riviera Trattoria a few doors down is the trattoria rather than the pizzeria, closed Mondays, and the Sunday roast is the reason to go. Te'amo on Munduk Catu is the prettiest room of the three and the pasta is better than the pizza.
