By Keanu Fischell, Co-Founder, Cabo Bali · Written June 2026 · Our honest local take — we live, work and play down here, and the Bukit's padel scene is moving fast.

The short answer
Uluwatu now has a padel club for every kind of player. Monster is the giant — endless courts and the coldest ice bath on the Bukit, the no-brainer near Melasti and Savaya. Island Padel has the best, most central location on Uluwatu's main street. The Ground is the aesthetic one (those pink-and-blue courts) and perfect for secluded Bingin. Ola leads Ungasan with its Mondays café-bar, and Play Uluwatu is our favourite near Nyang Nyang. Prices have dropped across the board in 2026 as new clubs opened — and more are still coming.

Why there are suddenly so many courts
Padel has exploded across Indonesia — close to 1,000 courts nationally, up roughly 186% in six months, with an estimated 400,000 amateur players. Bali got there earliest and has now matured: club growth has cooled to about 10% a year as the island shifts from quantity to quality. That's the story behind 2026's Uluwatu scene — prices have fallen as supply caught up, and the best clubs now compete on amenities, aesthetics and community rather than just having a court.

Our take, club by club
Grouped by where they are — so you can match the court to where you're staying.
Monster — the giant
Monster has it all: a huge site, tonnes of courts, and the coldest ice bath in Uluwatu to wreck yourself in after a session. If you're staying anywhere near Melasti or Savaya, it's a no-brainer — the scale means you can almost always get a court, and the recovery setup is unmatched. We have special rates here for Cabo guests.

Island Padel — the best location
The original. When options were thin, Island Padel was the spot, and it still has the best location — smack in the middle of Uluwatu's main street, impossible to miss. It runs regular tournaments, so it's great when something's on. Day to day, though, it's not their priority venue — the team has put a lot of focus into the Canggu side — so book ahead rather than counting on a walk-up.

The Ground — the aesthetic one
We're partners here, with special rates for guests. The Ground is the beautiful one — those signature pink and blue courts that photograph incredibly — and it sits perfectly for Bingin: more secluded, more design-led, a lovely place to play.

Play Uluwatu (the estate) — our favourite
Tucked near Nyang Nyang, Play Uluwatu (part of the estate) is our personal favourite right now — beautiful courts and a great feel, in one of the quietest corners of the Bukit.

Courte — cheap & cheerful, Nyang Nyang
Also near Nyang Nyang, Courte is the budget option — cheap to play, but with few amenities, and they can run short on towels at busy times. Fine for a quick hit if you're local; bring your own towel.
Ola — the best in Ungasan
Our pick in the Ungasan area. Ola sits next to Nourish and has a genuinely great bar/café, Mondays, attached — so it's as much a hang as a game. Best all-round spot on that side of the Bukit.

Flamingo — the Ungasan budget pick
Another cheap Ungasan option. Flamingo is no frills, but it does the job if you just want a court without the premium price.

Liga — new, and you can play tennis too
Recently opened, Liga's big draw is that it's one of the few places on the Bukit you can also play tennis — handy if your group is split between the two racquets.
