Best Cafés to Work From in Uluwatu (2026): Laptop Cafés and Coworking

Best Cafés to Work From in Uluwatu (2026): Laptop Cafés and Coworking

Updated 12 October 2026 | 10 min read | By Rissa Prima, Digital Marketing Manager, Cabo Bali

The short answer

If you want a café to work from in Uluwatu, go upstairs at Artisan Bingin: air-conditioned, plenty of plugs, and laptops welcome until 6pm. Expat. Roasters in Pecatu puts a plug at every wall table, and BAKED. has a cool room for a focused morning but closes at 5pm. For calls or a full day, pay for a desk: The Space Bali in Bingin for monitors and quiet, BWork Uluwatu for 24/7 access and community, Uluwatu Hub for the cheapest pass at IDR 200,000. Skip Analog for work.

Who this isn’t for. If you want to switch off completely, this is the wrong list. Our Uluwatu coffee guide covers the cafés worth visiting without a laptop.

Can you actually work from Uluwatu?

Yes, but it takes more planning than Canggu. The Bukit is spread out along Jl. Labuansait, the Bingin lanes and the road down to Ungasan, so you pick a base for the day rather than hopping between cafés on foot. The heat matters too: most cafés here are open-air, and only a handful have a proper air-conditioned room, which fills first.

Connectivity is the other variable. Nomads.com lists Uluwatu’s average internet at 19 Mbps, and fibre is patchy in parts of the Bukit, which we cover in our guide to villa wifi, Starlink and power backup. The good news for 2026: the coworking options have caught up. BWork, the big Canggu space, opened a second site in Uluwatu early this year, joining The Space Bali, Uluwatu Hub and Monday Coworking.

The best cafés to work from, one by one

Artisan Bingin | the best café to actually work from

Jl. Pantai Bingin, Pecatu. Artisan has three Bukit outposts, but the Bingin one is the work café. The upstairs room is air-conditioned, has plenty of plugs and runs as an unofficial coworking floor during the day.

Who it suits: anyone who needs four cool hours and a socket within reach. Coffee from around IDR 30,000++, and the food is good enough that lunch is not a reason to move.

The caveat: the rules are zoned. Downstairs is no-laptop, and upstairs is kept for dinner guests after 6pm, so this is a daytime office only. Open daily 7am to 11pm.

Expat. Roasters | a plug at every wall table

Cemongkak, Pecatu. A specialty roaster set up for people who stay a while, with single wall tables that each have their own plug.

Who it suits: solo workers who care about the coffee. Coffee from around IDR 38,000++, the priciest cup on this list.

The caveat: wall tables are for one, so it is not a place to work as a pair or take a group call. Open daily 6.30am to 7pm, which makes it one of the earliest starts on the Bukit.

BAKED. | the focused morning

Jl. Labuansait, Pecatu. The Uluwatu branch of the Canggu bakery has a compact, cool room that suits a focused three to four hour session. Coffee from around IDR 30,000++.

Who it suits: early starters who want pastries, good coffee and a tidy room.

The caveat: it closes at 5pm, and our coffee guide notes the seating could be more comfortable. A morning, not a full workday.

Alchemy | the garden with a small AC section

Jl. Pantai Bingin, Pecatu. The plant-based garden café where Arabica pours. It is open-air and quiet, people work on laptops here, and the wifi holds up for a normal working day.

Who it suits: health-food fans who want to work through lunch. Coffee from around IDR 35,000++, and prices sit above the Bali average.

The caveat: the air-conditioned section is limited and often full by 11am. Arrive early or accept the garden heat. Open daily 7.30am to 10pm. Cabo guests get 10% off food and drink here.

The Loft Uluwatu | plugs and a long brunch

Pecatu. A brunch café that work guides flag for plenty of power outlets, which makes it an easy place to settle in for a few hours.

Who it suits: people who want a proper meal and a socket in the same seat.

The caveat: it is a brunch spot first, so expect it busy at peak meal times and order again if you stay. Cabo guests get 10% off food and drink plus a free coffee, latte or matcha on the first visit.

Ulu Garden | open-air and laptop-friendly

Padang Padang, Pecatu. Openly welcomes laptops, mainly during the day. Coffee from around IDR 30,000++, open daily 7am to 10pm.

Who it suits: people who would rather work in a breeze than an AC box.

The caveat: there is no aircon at all, it relies on shade and breeze, so the middle of the day is hard work.

Drifter | the surf-shop garden

Jl. Labuansait, Pecatu. A garden café behind the surf shop, with juices, salads and cakes, open daily 7am to 10pm. Nomad guides list it as a good spot for remote work.

Who it suits: a relaxed few hours with a gift shop for the walk out.

The caveat: it is a garden, not an office, and Saturday nights bring live music or movies. Go for a morning of email, not a day of calls.

Coworking spaces with a day pass

If you take calls, work long hours or need a monitor, a day pass is worth it. Rates below are as published in 2026 and move often, so confirm before you go.

The Space Bali | the quiet one near Bingin Beach

Jl. Pantai Bingin 3, Pecatu. Open desks, ergonomic chairs, 4K monitors and quiet air-conditioned corners, with yoga classes on site. Open daily 7am to 11pm.

Who it suits: focused work close to the Bingin cliffs, and anyone who misses a second screen.

Price: day pass from IDR 275,000, monthly from IDR 2,800,000. The caveat: it is priced at the top end for a space without 24-hour access.

BWork Uluwatu | the big new one, open 24/7

Jl. Labuansait No. 169, Pecatu. The Uluwatu site of Canggu’s best-known coworking space opened in early 2026, with 200+ workstations, meeting and focus rooms, private offices, a pool, gym, bouldering wall, pilates and yoga.

Who it suits: people who want a community and an office that never closes. Members have 24/7 access.

Price: IDR 299,000 a day (walk-in only), unlimited month from IDR 3,850,000. The caveat: the most expensive day pass on the Bukit, and big spaces are rarely the quietest.

Uluwatu Hub | the best value

Jl. Goa Lempeh No. 27A, Pecatu. Fibre internet with wired and wireless connections, air-conditioned rooms, standing desks, work pods, a pool, small gym, showers, a yoga room, printing and free coffee.

Who it suits: anyone on a budget, or who only needs a morning. Members get 24/7 access.

Price: half-day from IDR 85,000, day from IDR 200,000, month from IDR 2,500,000. The caveat: its own website is a holding page, so message them before you ride over.

Monday Coworking | the Ungasan option

Jl. Toya Ning II, Ungasan. An air-conditioned indoor space with phone and work booths, bookable meeting rooms for four to six, a garden, a podcast and photo studio, and a café with community events.

Who it suits: anyone staying in Ungasan, and people who need a meeting room without a membership.

Price: day from IDR 225,000, month from IDR 2,500,000, with regular promotions on its site. The caveat: closed on Sundays, open Monday to Saturday from early morning to 11pm.

Where not to open your laptop

Analog. We love it, and its coffee is in every villa we manage, but it is a deliberate phone-down, digital-detox space. Take the morning there, not the meeting.

Artisan downstairs, and anywhere after dinner starts. Artisan Bingin is no-laptop on the ground floor, and its upstairs switches to dinner service after 6pm. If you work evening hours for Europe or the US, a coworking space with 24/7 access is the answer.

Open-air cafés at midday. From late morning the Bukit’s garden cafés get hot. If your café has one AC room, be in it before 11am or plan to move.

Cabo tip: Split your day. Work the cool hours from a café near your villa, then take calls from a coworking booth or from the villa. Run a speed test when you sit down and again when the room fills, carry a local eSIM as a hotspot backup, and order again every couple of hours if you stay. That is what keeps laptops welcome.

Working from your villa

For a lot of our guests, the best desk on the Bukit is the villa. Our Uluwatu villas are set up with fibre wifi, and on the quieter corners of the Bukit, where fibre can be weak, we plan for a backup line. If you work remotely, tell us before you arrive and we will point you to the right villa and the nearest café with a plug. How we approach it is in our wifi, Starlink and power backup guide.
