Analog — our favourite, and the one in every Cabo villa
It's in the name: Analog is an escape from your screen — a low-lit, phone-down hideaway that feels closer to a tiny jazz bar in Tokyo than a Bali café. It's the kind of place you go to actually be somewhere, not to work. We love the coffee here so much that we asked their head barista, Danz, whether we could stock it — and Analog is now the standard coffee in every villa Cabo manages. If you only visit one on this list, make it this one.
Dharma — coffee and surf history
Dharma pours a serious amount of coffee and pairs it with one of the best spaces in Uluwatu to sit and unwind — surrounded by surf history and touches of the Rip Curl Cup that runs at Padang Padang each year. It's a hang as much as a caffeine stop: come for a long black, stay for the atmosphere.
Arabica at Alchemy — global brand, Bali's favourite garden
Arabica is the cult global roaster (you'll know the % logo), and its coffee shop sits right inside the grounds of Alchemy — one of Bali's best-loved plant-filled, health-food gardens. Grab your Arabica coffee, carry it into the garden and order from Alchemy's famous vegan kitchen. Couple-run and hidden right above Padang Padang beach, Son of a Baker is all about the setting — beautiful views, a great spot to go barefoot, open a book and let the morning run long. One of the loveliest places on the Bukit to do very little, very well.
Drifter — read, disconnect, and shop
Another great spot to read or switch off, Drifter doubles as one of the best places in Uluwatu to pick up gifts and pieces to take home from Bali. If you're a fan of Mana or Dharma, you'll feel right at home here — coffee, browsing and a slow hour, sorted.
Baked — the buzzy all-rounder next to Suluban
Think of Baked as Bali's answer to Arabica — a similar polished vibe, but with a cracking location next to Suluban, right in the heart of Uluwatu. The outdoor terrace is the draw. Honest note: the seating could be a touch more comfortable — but the coffee is genuinely good, and the position is hard to beat.
Elok Coffee — the friendly local pick in Bingin
Elok is a simple, honest coffee spot in Bingin — Indonesian owned and run, affordable, with an incredibly friendly team. Choosing Elok means your money goes straight to a local business, and you'll get a warm welcome every time. Exactly the kind of place we love pointing guests towards.
Saltwood — not a café, but the best coffee-with-a-view
Saltwood isn't really a coffee spot — but it's one of the best places to have a coffee with a view, especially post-surf, overlooking the waves at Bingin and Dreamland. Come off the water, grab a coffee, and watch the next set roll in. Worth it for the outlook alone.
Artisan — where the food is as good as the coffee
At Artisan you won't get a bad meal, and the coffee's no exception. Honestly, our only complaint is that the coffees are too good for the size they come in — we'd happily take a bigger cup. Come hungry; leave planning your next visit.
